i started reading a new book called "faebound" that seems pretty interesting so far.

its very different from other books in its genre, the world feels very deep and

unique.



i feel like there's a lot of common tropes in romantasy that you come to expect and so far this has been a nice deviation. i'm almost a quarter of the way in but i think lettle is my favorite character so far.

i really want some kind of terrarium or aquarium... i haven't had one for a while

now but i've got the itch. might repurpose one of my old disused ones and see if i can

make it into something cool. i saw someone who had a tank full of different bugs they had found outside and that sounds really fun...

but for now i'm gonna read my book and eat a grilled cheese before i have to go to work lol. i finished "the priory of the orange tree" and it was really good. ead and tane were my favorite characters, i wish i got to hear more of their stories after the end of the book. and i wish the dragons were in the story more.

Moss. i really want to get a commission of them in this.

just got home from a really awesome fairy market out on a huge farm. right as it

was getting close to closing the thunderstorm hit us and i got soaked! i had a really fun

fairy themed outfit and got lots of compliments on it. i spent way too much money but i got a bunch of new jewelry and presents for upcoming birthdays. there was live music and food trucks and a flash tattoo/piercing booth and yoga and face painting and more art booths than i could visit before it closed. it was really fun and now i'm home out of the rain with a grilled cheese <3

there's a booth i see at a lot of local markets run by a friend of a friend and they always have the coolest taxidermy stuff. i got one of their sawtoothed beetles last time i saw them and i have a diaphonized opossum fetus from them too. this time they had uranium glass earrings and a really beautiful hand painted crow tailbone pendant necklace that i almost got. i'm always excited to see their booth because i know they always have the coolest stuff.

something. i wish there were more ways to interact on here too.

my sprite soaked gummy bears plumped up in the freezer over night, they just went in the freezer and my brother will be here soon.

i'm a little over a quarter of the way in to "the priory of the orange tree". its pretty interesting so far but i wouldn't say it's quite my kind of book. i wish there were more dragons and more cool magic and fight scenes. i'm not that far in yet though so maybe there will be later. i feel like the perspective shifts are too frequent, it makes the characters feel rushed. i want to get to know them more but it feels like after two paragraphs of them talking to someone it shifts to a different character. that's only a small complaint though. the focus seems to be on court politics and that's done really well. i hope i get to see more cool dragons though...

looking forward to being off work tomorrow. i'm not used to having weekdays off.

not sure if i'm gonna do anything, might just relax at home. there's plenty of cleaning

to do, especially since my brother is visiting on thursday... but that sucks lol. someone should pay me to do my own chores. there's some recipes i've been wanting to try and having my brother over might be the perfect excuse. so maybe i'll clean up the kitchen and see what i might want to make. i always save tons of recipes and then forget about them. i saw that trend going around for soaking gummy bears in sprite and then freezing them?



it sounds weird but also kinda fun... maybe i'll do that too.

having some jalapeño bacon pizza and its great but its kicking my ass. watching this

while i eat. i love this channel. i watch a lot of food vlogging stuff.

had a really lovely time at the park yesterday. got lots of pictures for my inaturalist page and saw lots of pretty spring flowers. it was mostly overcast but that was fine, i prefer the cold. especially when i'm out and moving around. it was funny to me that i found two different endemic flowering plants and was researching them and both of them were host plants to two different endemic lepidopteras which were then hosts for a variety of parasitic wasps. so this bush evolved to live in this one spot and these butterflies evolved to live on this one bush and then these wasps evolved to live on these butterflies... lol 🦋

yayyy its saturday. might go to the mall later today, or if not today then tomorrow.

may is gonna be a really busy month for me and there's a ton of stuff i've gotta get for

it. tbh i don't want to go shopping though, i'd rather just go to the park to enjoy the mild weather. its only 67° today.

been watching this live cam all morning. the chicks have gotten so big! and so ugly cute lol. they look like you breaded a chicken with lint. they don't even look real.





my perfume sample of this finally came in the mail! it smells amazing, even better than i thought it would. its so green but also so rich and oceanic. excited to wear it today. i'm really glad i got this sample because a full size bottle is...



...out of my price range...

getting some writing done today before work. i work an even longer shift today...

at least i have the next couple days off to rest. been browsing this site more and finding more fun stamps to collect. made a couple new ones myself too. 

watching this while having some crackers and hummus. looking forward to reading more of "the priory of the orange tree" later too.

been doing more stuff on here off and on since im home sick anyways. making new

stamps, adding more cool pictures, refining the vibe. i was also browsing perfumes. i wish they weren't so expensive, i see so many cool perfumes i want to try.





this is one i was looking at. apparently its discontinued but i found it on a site that recreates discontinued scents. can't decide if that's worth trying. i want to try more realistic forest scents, i really like them. my go-to is snoqualmie by pineward, but i'm almost out.





this is another one i'd really like to try. it just sounds so perfectly summer and nostalgic. i wonder if it could live up to my expectations. the plastic/vinyl note is just so unique. i love strange niche fragrances.





this is another really weird one i want to try. its supposed to smell like a hot, dusty old lightbulb. for some reason that just sounds so addictive and interesting. i wish i had the money to try all the perfumes on my wishlist.





this is another one i'm scared to try. it sounds really nice but i don't really like floral scents on myself. i wish i could have it as a room scent or something lol.

made my friend watch "tinkerbell and the great fairy rescue" with me. it was very cute.

finished reading "a court of silver fire". it was my favorite of the series so far.

unfortunately i have to wait for the next one to come out now. i think ill probably

pick up "the priory of the orange tree" in the mean time, its been on my reading list for a while.



since i was both sick and working i didnt get to celebrate 4/20 yesterday. oh well. maybe this weekend. i was gonna make some lemon poppyseed muffins with weed butter soon anyways.

thought i was just a little hungover but i guess im sick. sore throat feels like im

trying to swallow a bunch of sticks. i have work later but i think im just gonna

take some dayquil and push through.

for right now im having some tea and a breakfast burrito and reading my book. its book five in the series "a court of thorns and roses", im enjoying it a lot.



the romance in this one is a lot more interesting to me personally, as opposed to the previous books. but im still mostly in it for the cool magic fights lol.
